Vikings Fall to Yellowjace

SUPERIOR, Wis. - The Bethany volleyball team traveled to the University of Wisconsin Superior Saturday for a UMAC contest and their final road match of the season. The Vikings lost to the Yellowjackets 3-0 and moved to 5-18 on the season and 2-5 in the UMAC.
 
Meagan Sons (Green Isle, Minn./Central) led the Vikings attack with seven kills. Kristen Mielke (New Germany, Minn./Mayer Lutheran) and Alex Hansen (Austin, Minn.) followed with four kills apiece. Jessica Grimsley (Waconia, Minn./Mayer Lutheran) had seven digs for the Vikings while MacKenna Hinz (Burnsville, Minn./Rosemount) and Anna Nelson (Cannon Falls, Minn.) had six and five digs respectively. Grimsley led the Vikings in assists with 10 while Shelby Sicheneder (Watertown, Minn./Mayer Lutheran) followed with nine.
 
The Vikings will play their remaining two regular season games at home with the first being their final UMAC contest which will be on October 28th at 7 p.m. as they play host to North Central University. The Vikings will then close out the season with a 7 p.m. non-conference match against Buena Vista on October 30th. So come on out for the final two contests and show support for your Vikings
