Vikings Drop Match in five Sets to Rams

 
MANKATO, Minn. – The Vikings dropped their final UMAC match of the season to the Rams of North Central on Wednesday night. The match lasted five sets with the Vikings winning both the second and fourth sets before dropping the fifth set.  The match scores were 20-25, 25-19, 18-25, 25-20, 6-15. With the loss the Vikings fall to 5-19, and 2-6 in the UMAC.
 
Alannah Menk (St. Cloud, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice) led the Vikings with 14 kills while Jessica Grimsley (Waconia, Minn./Mayer Lutheran) hauled in 23 digs. Alexandra Grejtak (New Ulm Minn.) returned to action after being injured and recorded 19 assists for the Vikings.
 
The volleyball team's last match will be a non-conference match against Buena Vista on Friday, October 30th. The Vikings and Beavers are scheduled for a 7 p.m. start time with the Junior Varsity game beginning at 5 p.m. Come out to the Sports and Fitness Center and enjoy some Bethany Volleyball.
