Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CAPE CORAL, Fla. - On their third day of games in Florida, the Bethany softball team dropped a pair of games to northeast area schools, Suffolk out of Boston and Nazareth from Rochester, N.Y.

Anna Pipenhagen struck out 12 Alverno batters in her last outing. Thursday against Suffolk, she topped that performance with 15 strikeouts. The Rams found some holes around those Ks and topped Bethany 10-0.

After allowing an unearned run in the first, Bethany had a chance to tie the game in the bottom of the second. Amber Schulz singled to lead off the inning and later loaded the bases with one out. Suffolk pitcher Sarah Chasse got Bethany to pop out then groundout to end the threat.

Suffolk scored five in the top of the third to break the game open and added runs in the final two innings to defeat Bethany 10-0.

Nazareth jumped out on Bethany early in the second game scoring eight second inning runs en route to a 10-0, 5-inning run. Cindy Pawlitschek went 2-for-2 for the Vikings.

Bethany wraps up their Florida trip with two more games Friday.
