MANKATO, Minn. - The weather was finally warm enough for Bethany to host their first tennis dual of the season as they entertained St. Scholastica for a UMAC matchup Saturday.

The St. Scholastica men's team handed Bethany their first conference defeat of the season with a 9-0 victory.

Troy Hoyord and Jason Buechler had the best showing for Bethany in doubles losing 8-6.

The Saints won all their singles matches in straight sets. Carter Dahl had Bethany's strongest outing losing his match at No. 2 singles 6-3, 6-3.

St. Scholastica 9, Bethany men 0

The Bethany women also fell to St. Scholastica 9-0.

Alicia Kranz had Bethany's best showing at both No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles.

Both teams are back in action Wednesday against Martin Luther at the BLC Tennis Courts.
