Men's and women's tennis teams gear up for postseason play

MORRIS, Minn. / Duluth, Minn. - The Bethany men's and women's tennis teams wrapped up the regular season portion of their schedule with road matches Friday and Saturday. Both teams fell to St. Scholastica Friday in Duluth, but the men bounced back to win at Minn.-Morris 7-2 on Saturday.

The men's team set another program high Saturday with their seventh UMAC win of the season, one more win than last year's team that set a program high for most conference victories in a season.

Bethany was perfect in singles play against the Cougars. Jacob Kubler had the day's most impressive win for Bethany as he won his match at No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-2. Carter Dahl, Jason Buechler, and DJ Jackson all won their matches in straight sets. Andrew Jelken and Paul Riediger needed a match tiebreak, but both prevailed.

Riediger and Jackson teamed for a shutout win in No. 3 doubles 8-0.
