Box Score 2 MANKATO, Minn. - After losing the opening game of their twin bill with Crown, the Bethany softball team looked to be on the verge of earning a split, but the Storm rallied for big innings late to take two from the Vikings Wednesday.
The Vikings struck first in the second game.Â
Dani Emkes ripped a triple down the right field line. A throw to get her out at third went awry and Emkes scampered home for the game's first run.Â
Crown scored twice in the fourth to take the lead, but Bethany countered with a pair of their own to back on top.Â
Cindy Pawlitschek singled to lead off the frame. PitcherÂ
Desi Becker then helped her own cause by launching her first collegiate home run over the right field fence to give Bethany a 3-2 lead.
The Storm took over from there scoring ten runs in the final three innings to take the game 12-3.
Bethany (7-15, 1-6 in UMAC) remains home to face Northland Friday at 3 p.m. for a doubleheader.
