MLC Sweeps Bethany Volleyball team

 
NEW ULM, Minn. – The Bethany volleyball team traveled to Martin Luther on Tuesday night for their second conference match of the season. The Knights swept the Vikings 0-3 by scores of 19-25, 23-25, and 14-25 to fall to (4-12, 1-1) on the season.
 
This was the second meeting of the season between the two teams with the first meeting going in MLC favor as well. The Vikings Alex Hansen (Austin, Minn.) finished the night with nine kills while Kristen Mielke (New Germany, Minn./Mayer Lutheran) ended with eight. Meagan Sons (Green Isle, Minn./Central) was the next closest in kills with six.
 
Alexandria Grejtak (New Ulm, Minn.) had 29 assists with led all Vikings players in the match. Jessica Grimsley (Waconia, Minn./Mayer Lutheran) had nine digs followed by Jasmine Carlson (Windom, Minn.) with five. The Vikings committed 29 attack errors and nine service errors which proved to be the difference on the night.
 
Bethany will return to action on Saturday, October 3, when they travel to St. Scholastica for a match scheduled to being at 3 p.m.
