MANKATO, Minn. – The Vikings and Yellowjackets met for the second time this season in the Sports and Fitness Center on the campus of Bethany Lutheran College on Saturday. In their first meeting, it was the Vikings coming out ahead with the five-set victory. This time around, the matchup had playoff seeding hopes on the line as it was an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) meeting. The Vikings defeated the Yellowjackets in 3 sets in dominating fashion (25-22, 25-15, 25-11).

Highlights for the Vikings in the victory:
- Megan Rutt (Le Center, Minn.) had 14 kills for the Vikings.
- Kristen Mielke (New Germany, Minn.) was just behind Rutt with 11 kills.
- Jasmine Carlson (Windom, Minn.) had 36 set assists in the match.
- Anna Nelson (Cannon Falls, Minn.) led the Vikings with 15 digs.
- After a season high .292 attacking percentage on Tuesday against Crown, the Vikings recorded a tremendous .365 percentage vs. the UW-Yellowjackets, which ranks ninth best in school history.
