DULUTH, Minn. – The Bethany baseball team traveled to St. Scholastica on Saturday afternoon for a conference doubleheader against the Saints. St. Scholastica kept their conference winning streak alive with two victories over the Vikings, to improve to 6-0 in the conference.
Game One: St. Scholastica 11, Bethany Lutheran 0 (F/7)
In a shortened seven inning contest, the Saints held the Vikings to only one hit, which came from
Alex Babcock (Elk River, Minn.) who singled through the right side in the top of the sixth inning.
Alek Zentzis (Forest Lake, Minn.) suffered the mound loss in the efforts against St. Scholastica.
Game Two: St. Scholastica 11, Bethany Lutheran 1 (F/7)
The Vikings scattered five hits against the Saints in game two of the doubleheader.
Kevin Harris (El Paso, Texas),
Nick Caldeen (Blaine, Minn.),
Drew Quame (Eagle Lake, Minn.),
Zentzis, and
Trent Saharek (San Clemante, Calif.) each collected one hit.
Brandyn Olsen (Blue Earth, Minn.) drove in the lone run for the Vikings.
