MANKATO, Minn. – After earning a split with Martin Luther on Friday, the Bethany softball team returned to the diamond on Saturday afternoon at home against the Minnesota Morris Cougars. The Cougars swept the doubleheader, winning 8-0 and 1-0. The Vikings fall to 5-17 overall and 2-6 in the UMAC.

Game One: Minnesota Morris 8, Bethany Lutheran 8
In game one, the Vikings struggled to get their offensive game going as, Elli Stevenson of Minnesota Morris, threw a shortened complete game no hitter against Bethany.
Christina Wickingson (Mason Wis.) started on the mound for the Vikings, pitching five innings while striking out two Cougar batters. Bethany committed eight errors behind Wickingson's performance on the mound.

Game Two: Minnesota Morris 1, Bethany Lutheran 0
Anna Pipenhagen (Elk River, Minn.) threw an impressive game for the Vikings in game two. The sophomore pitched all seven innings while striking out seven batters. The one run allowed was an unearned run.
