Northwestern Defeats Bethany in Tennis

ST. PAUL, Minn. – On Saturday, the Bethany men's and women's tennis team traveled to Northwestern to take on the Eagles in an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference tennis match. The Eagles defeated the men's team 7-2 while the Eagles also defeated the women's team 9-0.

The men's team falls to 4-11 overall, and 3-2 in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference play.
The women's team stands at 3-13 overall, and 2-3 in UMAC play.

Women's Tennis: Northwestern 9, Bethany Lutheran 0
The second place Eagles downed the Vikings in the conference match.

Men's Tennis: Northwestern 7, Bethany Lutheran 2
Dalton Werckman (Foley, Minn.) and
Jason Buechler (Kasson, Minn.) earned the two points for Bethany with their singles competition wins.

Up next:
Men' tennis will play Gustavus Adolphus on Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. before traveling back to Bethany for an afternoon match against Wisconsin Lutheran starting at 1:30 p.m.

The women's tennis team also plays Wisconsin Lutheran tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 at the Bethany Tennis Courts.
