MANKATO, Minn. – After dropping two games on Friday afternoon to Northwestern, the Bethany baseball team was back on the diamond on Saturday against Minnesota Morris. The Vikings and Cougars played an UMAC doubleheader at the BLC Baseball Field.

In game one, the Vikings won in walk-off fashion 4-3. In the second contest of the day, the Cougars earned the series split with a 14-1 victory over Bethany.

In the bottom of the 12
th inning,
Nolan Grose (Waterville, Minn.) singled up the middle to score
Kevin Harris (El Paso, Texas) to propel the Vikings to their third conference victory of the season. The highlight from the first game came from the pitching performance of
Brandyn Olsen (Blue Earth, Minn.). The junior pitched all 12 innings of the contest, allowing just two earned runs while striking out two batters. Offensively,
Olsen chipped in with a double as well.

Drew Quame (Eagle Lake, Minn.) finished with three hits and three RBI's. The Vikings scattered 13 hits in the efforts over the Cougars.

Game Two: Minnesota Morris 14, Bethany Lutheran 1
The Cougars got the scoring started in the top of the fourth inning, and never looked back. The Cougars bats came alive in game two, finishing with 20 hits to the Vikings seven.
Alek Zentzis (Forest Lake, Minn.) had two singles and an RBI while
Jordan Grams (Mankato, Minn.) also collected two hits.
