SUPERIOR, Wis. – The Bethany baseball team played Upper Midwest Athletic Conference foe in UW-Superior on Saturday afternoon. The Vikings and Yellowjackets split the two game series with the Vikings winning the first game, followed by the Yellowjackets taking game two.

Game One: Bethany Lutheran 12, UW-Superior 4
Bethany scored three runs in the top of the first inning to set the pace in game one of the split doubleheader.
Drew Quame (Eagle Lake, Minn.) led the Vikings offensively with four hits, four RBIs, and three runs scored.
Brandyn Olsen (Blue Earth, Minn.) and
Alek Zentzis (Forest Lake, Minn.) each had two hits as well.
Olsen collected three RBIs while
Zentzis had two.

Zentzis earned the victory on the mound for the Vikings. The lefty pitched all nine innings, allowing four runs while striking out nine batters.

Game Two: UW-Superior 8, Bethany Lutheran 2
The Vikings scored lone runs in the third and fifth inning during the second game of the DH. Bethany had four hits compared to the Yellowjackets, who collected 10 hits over the nine inning span.
Jordan Grams (Mankato, Minn.) led the Vikings with two hits and one run scored.
