Box Score 2 Volleyball Faces Tough Opponents in Day Two of UW-Stevens Point Invite

STEVENS POINT, Wis.  – The Bethany volleyball team wrapped up play at the UW-Stevens Point Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Vikings fell to both Ripon and UW-Stevens Point on day two of the invitational.

In match three of the invitational, Ripon defeated the Vikings 3-0 (23-25, 14-25, 21-25). Leading the offensive charge against the Red Hawks was sophomore
Rebekka Olsen (North Mankato, Minn.) and freshmant
Megan Rutt (Le Center, Minn.) with seven and six kills.
Jasmine Carlson (Windom, Minn.) finished the match with 13 set assists and
Mackenna Hinz (Burnsville, Minn.) collected 16 digs for Bethany.

In match four of the invitational, UW-Stevens Point defeated Bethany 3-0 (11-25, 16-25, 19-25).Â
Rutt led Bethany with five kills while
Allyson Lauer (Maplewood, Minn.) collected 12 digs and
Hinz added 10 digs.
Megan Rutt was named to the All-Tournament team for her performance this weekend at the UW-Stevens Point Invitational.Â

The Vikings volleyball team will return to their home floor on Monday night when St. Olaf comes to the Sports and Fitness Center for a 7 p.m. non-conference match.
