MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.  – The Vikings volleyball squad hit the road on Friday afternoon to North Central to compete in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Preview. The Vikings played the Lumberjills from Northland on Friday night to begin their three-match weekend.

Bethany defeated Northland in five sets to earn their second victory of the season. Scores from the sets were as follows, 21-25, 24-26, 25-22, 26-24, and 15-13.

The Vikings saw double-digits kills from both
Alannah Menk (St. Cloud, Minn.) and
Kristen Mielke (New Germany, Minn.), who recorded 13 and 12 kills in five sets. Sophomore setter
Jasmine Carlson (Windom, Minn.) finished the contest with 36 set assists and 12 digs while
Jessica Grimsley (Waconia, Minn.) finished with 13 digs in the efforts over the Lumberjills.

What's next:
Bethany will continue play on Saturday with matches against North Central and Crown. The first match will be played at 11 a.m. before the Vikings finish play at 5 p.m.
