MANKATO, Minn.  – After an exciting victory over Martin Luther on Tuesday night, the Bethany volleyball team returned to the court on Friday night in a non-conference contest against UW-Superior. The Vikings defeated the Yellowjackets in a five-set thriller that featured a Vikings comeback from down two sets to none.

Megan Rutt (Le Center, Minn.) led the Vikings with 15 kills in the match and
Rachel Sorensen (Windom, Minn.) trailed her with 12.
Jasmine Carlson (Windom, Minn.) amassed a whopping 50 assists over the course of the five sets.

Jessica Grimsley (Waconia, Minn.) finished the match leading the Vikings with 13 digs, whileÂ
Anna Nelson (Cannon Falls, Minn.) and
Carlson finished with 11 sets a piece.
Kristen Mielke (New Germany, Minn.) finished with four total blocks for Bethany followed by Rutt and
Haley Domonoske (Waterville, Minn.) finished with three apiece.

Up next:
The volleyball team will now travel to Northland for the first Upper Midwest Athletic Conference contest of the season on Saturday. Game time is scheduled for 3 p.m.
