Men's Tennis Split a Pair in Iowa

DUBUQUE, IOWA – Following the loss to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Friday night at the Swanson Tennis Center, the Bethany Lutheran men's tennis team traveled to Dubuque for a pair of matches against the Spartans and the Knox College Prairie Fire.
BLC defeated Knox 9-0 before falling to Dubuque 6-3 in the final match of the weekend. Currently the Vikings hold down a 4-5 overall record on the season.
BLC VS. KNOX:
In both singles and doubles competition the following student-athletes were victorious for Head Coach Jill Bailey:
Andrew Jelken, Laine Larson, Dalton Werckman, Carter Dahl, Jacob Kubler, and Jordan Poff.
BLC VS. DUBUQUE:
The Vikings picked up a set win at the number four singles position, as Carter Dahl defeated his opponent. In doubles, Jelken/Werckman and Kubler/Poff picked up set points for Bethany Lutheran.
UP NEXT:
The Vikings will next compete on Saturday, February 17
th against St. Mary's University in Winona, Minnesota. Match time is set for 4 p.m.
