NORTHFIELD, Minn. – On the second day of the 2017 season, the Bethany Lutheran softball program played a non-conference doubleheader against Carleton College at the Dundas Dome. It was the Knights earning the DH sweep over the BLC Vikings.
Game One: Carleton College 26, Bethany Lutheran 1
In the opening game of the series, junior
Anna Pipenhagen (Elk River, Minn.) provided the offensive power for the Vikings, driving a home run over the left field fence to score the lone run.
Game Two: Carleton College 7, Bethany Lutheran 5
BLC got the scoring started in the top of the first inning as the Knights answered with a run in the bottom half. In the top of the fourth inning,
Samantha Meginbir (Lloydminster, AB) and Pipenhagen each recorded a double and two RBI's to conclude the scoring for the Vikings in the contest. As a team, Head Coach Dan Nessler and his team collected five hits.

On Wednesday, March 1
st Bethany Lutheran will travel to play Macalester College at the Rosemount Dome. First pitch of the DH is set for 6:30 p.m.
