TUCSON, Ariz. – After finishing last night with a win, the Vikings completed play in Tucson on Saturday with a contest against the Aurora Spartans. The Vikings fell to Aurora by a score of 9-3 but the game was much closer than that. Both the Vikings and the Spartans finished the game with nine total hits but the Vikings had eight errors compared to only one by Aurora.
- John Brown finished the game with three hits, an RBI, and a run for the Vikings.
- Nolan Grose reached base three time with two hits and a walk. The senior also drove in the only other RBI for the Vikings.
- Junior Hunter Hamers pitched six innings allowing only one earned run in his first start of the season.
UP NEXT: After a 2-7 start on the season the Vikings return to Mankato for a week of practice before they head down to Iowa for a three game series against Coe College on March 18
th and 19
th.
