MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – On Thursday night, the Bethany Lutheran baseball team played a non-conference doubleheader against Augsburg College, a member of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, in the newly built U.S. Bank Stadium.

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS:
The Vikings starting pitcher,
Alek Zentzis (Forest Lake, Minn.) had five strikeouts in 4.1 innings of work while surrendering three earned runs. Offensively, BLC scattered six hits compared to seven from the Auggies. Six different Vikings recorded a single in the seven inning loss to Augsburg.
GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS:
After giving up five runs in the opening frame,
Cody Leitner (Red Wing, Minn.) settled in the throw 5.2 innings. The left-hander faced 28 batters, giving up nine hits and striking out three. Senior
Jordan Grams (Mankato, Minn.) had two hits, including a double in the top of the second inning.
John Brown (Lake City, Minn.) and
Logan Nissen (Olivia, Minn.) also recorded extra base hits for the Vikings.

The Vikings will return to U.S. Bank Stadium on Saturday for a non-conference doubleheader against the North Central Rams. First pitch is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
