MANKATO, Minn. – On Thursday afternoon, the Bethany Lutheran baseball team welcomed the St. Scholastica Saints to the BLC Baseball Field for an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) doubleheader. The Saints earned the series sweep of the Vikings.

- Game two: CSS 1, BLC 0 (10 innings)
- Overall Record: Bethany Lutheran (12-13, 4-2) Minnesota Morris (17-6, 6-0 in UMAC)
GAME ONE:
Senior
Trent Saharek (San Clemante, Calif.) led the Vikings offensive attack by going 4-for-4 with an RBI in game one of the DH.
Walker Linde (Wells, Minn.) was 2-for-4 with an RBI in the number five hole in the lineup. BLC recorded 9 hits compared to the Saints 13.
GAME TWO:
In a impressive performance on the mound for Bethany Lutheran,
Hunter Hamers (Foley, Minn.) gave up a two-out home run to right field in the top of the 10
th inning which made up the scoring for both teams in game two. The left-hander pitched 10 compete innings while scattering 10 hits to keep in the Vikings in the contest throughout. Offensively, BLC had several chances but could not find the clutch hit against the Saints. Saharek added two more hits as the three hitter in the starting lineup.

The Vikings will now travel to the University of Northwestern for a conference doubleheader on Wednesday, April 19
th beginning at 1:30 p.m.
