MORRIS, Minn. – The Bethany Lutheran baseball team (14-15, 6-4 UMAC) split with the University of Minnesota Morris (9-17, 3-3 UMAC) on Saturday by final scores of a 2-3 and a 7-3.
GAME ONE: In game one the Vikings were defeated in a pitching duel by a score of 3-2. Cody Leitner (Red Wing, Minn.) threw a complete game for the Vikings going all eight innings, giving up zero earned runs, and striking out five. John Brown (Lake City, Minn.) and Jordan Grams (Mankato, Minn) led the Vikings on offense with three and two hits respectively.
GAME TWO: The Vikings got back into the win column in game two of doubleheader with a 7-3 win. Alek Zentzis (Forest Lake, Minn.) got the win on the hill going five innings and giving up two earned runs, while Alex Babcock (Elk River, Minn.) got the save pitching four scoreless innings to shut the door. Brandyn Olsen (Blue Earth, Minn.) had two hits with three runs scored and Trent Saharek (San Clemente, Calif.) had three hits with four runs batted in to help pace the Vikings offense.

The Vikings return to the BLC Baseball Field on Tuesday, April 25
th for a conference doubleheader against Crown College. First pitch is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. with game two to follow.
