Mankato, Minn. – The Vikings volleyball team (4-6) fell to the Waldorf University Warriors (2-9) in a tough match on Monday night. Each set was close, but the Warriors took home a three-set victory, 25-20, 25-20, 29-27.
Megan Rutt led the Vikings with 12 kills on offense on 39 attempts for a hitting percentage of 0.205. Jasmine Carlson had 18 assists for the Vikings and Anna Nelson recorded 15 digs.
The Warriors recorded a total of 49 kills in the match with a high of 16 from Rebecca Bartnicki.
Up Next: The Vikings begin UMAC play this weekend when they host North Central and UW-Superior in a triangular on Saturday, September 16. The Vikings will play the first match of the day at 2 PM, followed by North Central vs. UW-Superior at 4 PM, and then the Vikings will face UW-Superior at 6 PM to end the night.
