Box Score HANCOCK, MI. – The Bethany men's soccer team (1-7) lost to Finlandia (2-5) by a score of 2-0 on Sunday afternoon.
The weather was sunny, clear, and very humid in Michigan for the afternoon game. The first half of the game was an even battle with the Vikings tallying four shots on goal and the Lions tallying five. Both teams looked to cool down at halftime, tied 0-0.
The Lions were the aggressor in the second half as they tallied 16 more shots compared to four for the Vikings. Trenton Krueger was in the net for the Vikings, making five saves and giving up two goals. The first goal for the Lions came in the 67th minute off a corner kick and the second goal was scored in the 86th minute.
Up Next: The Vikings are back at home on Wednesday, September 27 against Morris. The game will start at 2:00 PM.
