MANKATO, Minn. – The Bethany men's soccer team (1-8, 0-4) lost to the University of Minnesota-Morris (3-4-1, 1-2-1) by a score of 3-0.
The Cougars and Vikings did battle on a beautiful day in Mankato. The Cougars jumped out early with a goal by sophomore forward/midfielder Denis Ostroushko. The Vikings had some opportunities, but couldn't score a goal in the contest.
The Cougars added two more goals in the second half by Zachary Jacobson and Bona Usha. Vikings sophomore goalkeeper James Strom had a solid effort, totaling 16 saves.
Up Next: The Vikings host UW-Superior on Saturday, September 30 in another UMAC contest in Mankato. The game starts at 2:00 PM and is part of Fall Festival.
