MANKATO, Minn. – The Bethany men's soccer team (1-9, 0-5) lost to the UW-Superior Yellowjackets (6-3-1, 3-0-1) 3-1 as Fall Festival continued.
 
The Yellowjackets footwork and craft were too much for the Vikings to overcome as they controlled most of the game, especially in the first half where they led 2-0. Both goals were assisted by senior forward Jon Bucklew.
 
The Vikings settled down in the second half and put together an offensive attack for a goal of their own. The Vikings score came by a senior midfielder Thomas Phan, late in the game. Sophomore goalkeeper Ryan Lietz got the start in goal and made six nice saves.
 
Up Next: The Vikings host Northwestern on Tuesday, Oct. 3 in Mankato starting at 5 PM.
