St. BONIFACIUS, Minn. – The Bethany volleyball team grabbed two conference victories on Wednesday after defeating Northland 3-1 (25-22, 23-25, 25-9, 26-24) and Crown 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-18). Both matches were played at Crown College.
 
In match one, Bethany and Northland battled it out in four tough sets. In set four, the Vikings put Northland away with a score of 26-24 to take the match 3-1. Megan Rutt was stellar for the Vikings with a match-high 20 kills. Jasmine Carlson dished out a match-high 38 assists and Anna Nelson led the Vikings with 19 digs.
 
In match two, Bethany kept their momentum going and took care of Crown in three sets. Megan Rutt once again led the way with 16 kills. Haley Domonoske contributed seven kills. Jasmine Carlson had 32 assists for the Vikings and Anna Nelson had 18 digs. Jessica Grimsley also helped with Viking defense with 12 digs.
 
The two wins puts the Vikings overall record at 7-11 and 3-5 in the UMAC.
 
Up Next: The Vikings will host Morris on Saturday, September 30 in a single-match at 1 PM.
