MANKATO, Minn. – The Vikings women's soccer team (3-7, 2-3) boosted their win-streak to three games as they defeated UW-Superior (2-7-1, 1-3-1) by a score of 2-1 in overtime to conclude Fall Festival.
 
A closely contested game saw both teams go in at half scoreless. The second half was where things came alive. The Yellowjackets struck first on a goal by junior defenseman Kelli Graham. The Vikings countered with a goal by sophomore midfielder Elena De Vera, assisted by Nicole Moldstad.
 
The Vikings would have the last say in overtime, when senior forward Nicole Moldstad yet again, showed her ability to find the net as she scored the game-winner. Freshman Madison Perry had the assist.
 
Up Next: The Vikings host Northwestern on Tuesday, Oct. 3 in Mankato starting at 7:15 PM.
