MANKATO, Minn. – The Bethany Vikings (7-12, 3-6) kicked off Saturday's Fall Festival against Minnesota Morris (17-4, 8-1) in a UMAC match. BLC fell 3-0 in a tough game (8-25, 15-25, 12-25).
The Cougars came out firing right away, setting the tone with an 11-0 start in the first set. They would cruise to win the set. The Vikings came back and played fearlessly in the second set, keeping it close, before the Cougars took over. The Cougars blocking was impressive, totaling 8 team blocks.
The Vikings played 12 women over the course of their sets. Many Vikings contributed in the dig category with senior Anna Nelson leading the way with 5.
Up Next: The Vikings play St. Olaf on Monday, Oct. 2 in Northfield at 7 PM, a non-conference matchup.
