Mankato, MN. – The Bethany Lutheran College Vikings beat Crown College 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-20) to move their overall record to 9-15 and their UMAC record to 7-7.
The Vikings got ahead quick in the first set with a score of 13-7. The back half of the set ended in both teams splitting the points 12-12, and the Vikings won 25-19. The Vikings outmatched Crown in kills during the first set, with a 15-4 advantage. The Vikings would go on to sweep Crown in two more sets. During the match, the Vikings worked to outpace Crown College; getting 44 kills to Crown's 21 and 41 assists to Crown's 21.
The Vikings were led by
Megan Rutt with 17 kills,
Kalli Mathiasen with 36 assists, and
Megan Rutt and
Haley Domonoske both had 2 blocks.
