St. Paul, MN. – The Bethany Lutheran College Vikings women's soccer team lost to the University of Northwestern Eagles 0-3. The loss moves the Viking's record to 5-6 and their UMAC conference to 2-4.
The game started out slowly, with neither team scoring until the final minute of the first period. Then, two quick Eagle goals in the 75th and 80th minute put the Vikings in a 0-3 hole that they wouldn't be able to come back from. In the end, the Vikings had 4 shots and 1 on goal compared to the Eagles 20 shots and 11 on goal. The Vikings also had 1 corner kick to the Eagles' 4.
The Vikings were led by
Bailey Bakken with 3 shots and
Haley Sisson with 1 shot on goal.
Up next: The Vikings will face the University of Minnesota Morris Cougars on Saturday, October 6th at 3:30 as a part of Fall Festival.
