Mankato, MN. – The Vikings women's soccer team beat the Finlandia University Lions 2-1, which extended their win streak to 4 games. The win also puts their record at 9-7.
The Lions came out and scored early, when they scored a goal in the 13th minute. After that, the game went back and forth without the Vikings being able to answer in the first period. Then, in the 53rd minute,
Jade Bokman scored a goal off of an assist from
Bailey Bakken. Later in the game,
Madison Perry was able to score the game winning goal in the 73rd minute.
The Vikings were led by
Bailey Bakken with 7 shots, 2 shots on goal, and 1 assist,
Madison Perry with 6 shots, 2 shots on goal, and 1 goal, and
Jade Bokman with 5 shots, 3 shots on goal, and 1 goal.
Up next: The Vikings will face the Martin Luther College Knights on Wednesday, October 24th at 3:30 P.M. in New Ulm.
