Mankato, MN. – The Vikings volleyball team beat the Martin Luther College Knights 3-2 (23-25, 25-23, 21-25, 27-25, 15-4). The win marks the 10th if the Vikings season, and puts their record at 10-17 and their UMAC record at 8-8. The Vikings also earned a spot in the UMAC tournament with the win.
The first set went back and forth, with neither team gaining a huge lead. It was only a 3-0 run by the Knights when the Vikings had a 23-22 lead. The second set brought much of the same. However, this time it ended with an 8-4 Vikings run and an ensuing victory. The third and fourth sets followed this same format, with the victorious team having a run at the end to win. Then, in the fifth set, the Vikings simply dominated with a 14-4 run to win the match.

Kalli Mathiasen with 44 blocks, and
Mackenna Hinz record her 1,000th career dig with her team leading 21.
