Mankato, MN.  – The Vikings volleyball team lost to the University of Wisconsin-Superior Yellowjackets 0-3 (17-25, 15-25, 16-25) and to St. Olaf college 2-3 (22-25, 26-24, 20-25, 25-21, 15-17); moving their record to 6-15 and their UMAC record to 4-7.
 
In the first match, the Vikings started out hot, moving to a quick 6-3 lead. However, the Yellowjackets would be able to pull away, and a 6-0 run at the end of the first set helped the Yellowjackets win 25-17. Then, two huge runs, 13-7 in the second set and 6-0 in the third, helped put the Yellowjackets over 3-0. The Yellowjackets recorded 42 kills, 4 aces, and 3 blocks compared to the Vikings 34 kills, 1 ace, and 1 block. The Vikings were led by Megan Rutt with 15 kills and Kalli Mathiasen with 30 assists.
 
The Vikings kept the second set close, trading sets back and forth with St. Olaf. However, St. Olaf was able to hold out and get the 2-3 victory. The Vikings kept it close though, with 58 kills to St. Olaf's 53 and 8 aces to St. Olaf's 9. The Vikings were led by Megan Rutt with 30 kills and Kalli Mathiasen with 48 assists.
