Box Score 2 TUCSON, AZ. – The BLC softball team (3-9) finished their spring trip in Arizona on Friday morning. The Vikings played Coe College (7-8) in game one and SUNY Oneonta (3-4) in game two.
The Vikings struggled against Coe College. The Kohawks got off to a fast start, scoring five runs in the second and six runs in the third.
Rachel Kurtenbach had an RBI single in the fifth inning which brought
Megan Westphal across the plate for BLC's only run. Coe defeated Bethany 11-1.
Anna Pipenhagen,
Katelyn Karels,
Isabella Lattery, and Kurtenbach each had one hit for the Vikings. Pipenhagen,
Sydney Kappel, and
Kaylee Mork threw for the Vikings. Kappel pitched two innings, giving up 11 hits and 11 runs.
SUNY Oneonta defeated BLC 15-7 in game two. The big highlight of game two was a grand slam from Anna Pipenhagen. Her slam was the first of the season for the Vikings.
Up Next: The Vikings play in the Concordia Cobber Classic March 21-22. The Vikings will play games against Concordia, Finlandia, and Bemidji State.
