ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Bethany softball took two games from North Central University today by scores of 13-2 and 10-0. The Vikings put on a dominating hitting performance, scoring 23 runs in just eight innings at the plate.
In game one, Bethany fell behind early due to a solo home run in the top of the first by the Rams, but they quickly regrouped and scored five runs in the bottom of the first to take an early lead. They put up five more in the second and three in the third to take control of the contest. Anna Pipenhagen and Eden Ambrose did their job on the mound and kept the Ram hitters at bay by allowing just three hits combined and striking out eight. In the contest, Taylor Kottke went three for three with two RBIs while Sarah Presler and Kaylee Mork each recorded two hits to help lead the Vikings offense. Rachel Kurtenbach also blasted her third home run of the year to help push the Vikings to victory.
