FOREST CITY, Iowa – The BLC men's soccer team (0-1) started their season on the road against Waldorf University (2-1). The Vikings had their hands full in their opener, losing 4-1.
The Warriors scored 19 minutes in to take an early lead. They would go on to score two more unanswered goals for a 3-0 lead. Junior forward
Samuel Duran scored the Vikings first goal of the season in the 81st minute of the game. Waldorf added one more goal to seal the win.
The Vikings totaled 10 shots in the game with two of those coming on goal. The Warriors managed 29 total shots with nine on goal. Junior goalkeeper
Moritz Bruns started in net for the Vikings, making five saves. The Vikings had two corner kicks in the game while Waldorf had four.
Jonathan Sehloff tallied three shots in the game with one on net.
Vincent Ayodi also had two shots in the game.
