Minneapolis, Minn. – The Bethany Lutheran College Viking's men soccer team tied with the Martin Luther College Knights in a double overtime match, which puts their record at 3-2-1
The game started out close, and stayed that way throughout. The first goal was scored by the Viking's NP in the 13th minute, only for MLC to come back with a goal of their own in the 16th minute. The game remained at 1-1 until the 77th minute when MLC scored what seemed like the game winning goal, only for the Viking's VG to score a goal with 57 seconds left in regulation. Neither team scored in either overtime period, and the game ended in a 2-2 tie. The game ended with Bethany shooting 30 shots and 11 shots on goal, and recorded 2 assists.
The Vikings were led by NP with 5 shots, 1 shot on goal, and 1 goal. LB and VA both contributed an assist to the Viking's effort.
