BUENA VISTA, Iowa – Heading into tonight's match, Buena Vista was 4-0 all-time against the Vikings, but that changed as BLC picked up a 1-0 win on the road. With the win, the Vikings even their season record to 3-3 overall.
 
Leah Sonnenburg played the full 90 minutes in net for the Vikings and earned the shutout victory with the help of her defense. The Beavers attempted 23 shots and Sonnenburg made four key saves to hold them scoreless.
 
The Beavers had more total opportunities throughout the game, but the Vikings made the most of their attempts on goal. Madison Perry scored the only goal of the night at the 24 minute mark in the second half. Perry has four total goals on the season to lead the Vikings in points.
 
UP NEXT: The Vikings are back in UMAC action this Saturday when they travel to Crown College. Game time is set for 11:00 AM. Crown currently holds a 2-2 record overall while still looking for their first UMAC win.
