ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. – The BLC Vikings played the Crown College Storm in UMAC action on Saturday. Despite dominating on the offensive side of the ball, the Vikings fell to the Storm by a score of 3-2.
 
The Vikings tallied a total of 30 shots with 13 on goal compared to 8 shots and 4 on goal for the Storm. Bethany also had 4 corner kicks while Crown had 2.
 
Crown struck first with a goal in the 32nd minute of play. The Vikings answered just before the end of the first half when Bailey Bakken scored her fifth goal of the season in the 43rd minute of play. Bakken had 10 shots in the game with 5 of those on goal. The Vikings and Storm were tied 1-1 at half.
 
Crown took a 2-1 lead in the 60th minute of play. Madison Perry tied the game for the Vikings with her fifth goal of the season in the 80th minute. Perry took 13 shots with 6 on goal. It looked as though the two teams would need extra time to determine the winner, but the Strom scored the winning goal in the 88th minute of play to seal the win 3-2.
 
Mindy Meske played 90 minutes in goal for the Vikings and allowed 3 goals with 1 save.
