BLC men's soccer wins another thriller

ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. – The BLC men's soccer season has not been short on dramatic finishes. The Vikings came from behind to defeat Crown College today by a score of 2-1 in OT. This is the Vikings third straight overtime game. The Vikings are now 4-0-1 in their last five games and hold a 5-2-1 overall record and a 2-0-1 record in UMAC play.
 
The Vikings fell behind in the first half when Crown scored at the 35 minute mark. The Vikings controlled most of the game with 23 shots and 8 on goal compared to 12 shots and 4 on goal for the Storm. Bethany also had 7 corner kicks to zero for Crown.
 
Jonathan Sehloff tied the game in the 64th minute with his third goal of the season. The Vikings continued their offensive attack, but they couldn't find the back of the net in regulation.
 
It didn't take much longer than a minute in the extra period before Diego Meza-Palmer scored the game-winning goal, assisted by Nikita Pyatetskiy. The goal for Palmer was his first of the season.
 
Moritz Bruns was the keeper for the Vikings, earning the win with three saves.
