Men's Soccer Hosts Northland for Senior Day

MANKATO, Minn.-- The Bethany Lutheran men's soccer team (9-5 overall, 2-2 UMAC) concludes a four-game homestand Saturday when it hosts Northland (2-9-1, 1-2-1) at 3:30 p.m. The seniors will be recognized between games of the doubleheader. The Vkings are tied for third in the conference standings, while the Lumberjacks are seventh.

The Series
The Vikings owns the lead at 15-8-2 as the programs have met at least once a season since 2004.

Bethany Lutheran
Freshman Max Busch (Odenthal, Germany) leads the team with 18 goals and two assists for 38 points. Classmates Marcel Campabadal (Vilassar de Mar, Catalonia, Spain) and Joao Bastos (Piracicaba, Brazil) follow with seven and six goals, respectively. Freshman Luke Oosterbosch (Veldhoven, The Netherlands) has five goals and a team-best 14 assists.

Senior Moritz Bruns (Leer, Germany) has a .717 save percentage, six wins, and three shutouts.

Bruns is third in goalkeeper wins (8), fifth in shutouts (4) and ninth in saves (91). Senior Samuel Duran (Marshall, Minn.) is tied for fifth in assists (10), seventh in goals (14) and points (38). Classmate Jonny Sehloff (Mankato, Minn.) is tied for eighth in goals (12) and 10th in points (28).

Busch is fifth in goals (18), tied for sixth in game-winning goals (4), and eighth in points (35). Oosterbosch is tied for second in assists (14).
