DULUTH, Minn.—The Bethany Lutheran men's soccer team (11-5-1 overall, 4-2-1 UMAC) drew a 2-2 double overtime tie with St. Scholastica (7-12-1, 6-1-1) Saturday.
Freshman Max Busch (Odenthal, Germany) continued to extend his lead as the single season record holder in goals and points as he netted both for the Vikings.
The game was scoreless until Busch tallied his first goal of the day at 28:52. This remained the score through halftime until the Saints answered at 63:24.
St. Scholastica took the 2-1 lead just six minutes later.
Busch evened the score with his penalty kick at 72:01.
Bethany owned the team advantage in shots (22-15) and corner kicks (10-8).
