MANKATO, Minn.-- The Bethany Lutheran men's soccer team (8-3 overall, 1-1 UMAC) opens a four-game homestand Wednesday when it hosts Martin Luther (3-7-2, 1-1) at 5 p.m. This will be the inaugural game on the new turf field. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 4:50 p.m.

The Series
BLC leads the all-time series at 18-8-2 as the programs have met at least once a year since 2004. This includes the earlier nonconference meeting on Sept. 17 where the Vikings won 7-0.

Bethany Lutheran
Freshman Max Busch (Odenthal, Germany) leads the team with 15 goals and one assist for 31 points. Classmates Joao Bastos (Piracicaba, Brazil) follows with six goals and Marcel Campabadal ( Vilassar de Mar, Catalonia, Spain) and Luke Oosterbosch (Veldhoven, The Netherlands) have five. Oosterbosch has a team-best 12 assists.

Senior Moritz Bruns (Leer, Germany) has a .788 save percentage, five wins, and two shutouts.

Bruns is tied for third in goalkeeper wins (7), tied for fifth in shutouts (3) and ninth in saves (91). Senior Samuel Duran (Marshall, Minn.) is seventh in goals (14) and points (37). Classmate Jonny Sehloff (Mankato, Minn.) is tied for eighth in goals (12) and 10th in points (28). Busch is eighth in points (31).

Busch is tied for sixth in goals (15) and tied for sixth in game-winning goals (4). Oosterbosch is fourth in assists (12).

The Vikings lead the nation in goals (44), points (128), are second in points/game (11.64) and assists (40), third in assists/game (3.64), sixth in shots/game (21.82), ninth in shots on goal/game (10.27), 65th in won-lost percentage (.727), and 75th in shutout percentage (.455).

Individually, Oosterbosch leads the nation in assists (12), is second in assists/game (1.09), 29th in points (22), 35th in points/game (2.00), 98th in shots/game (3.45),

Busch leads the country in goals (15), goals/game (1.67) and points/game (3.33), fourth in points (30), sixth in shots on goal/game (3.00), ninth in game-winning goals (4), 12th in shot/game (5.00),

Duran in 19th in assists (6), 32nd in assists/game (0.55).

Ayodi is 42nd in assists/game (0.50) and 43rd in assists (5).

Joe Graumann leads his team with six goals. Luke Meihack follows with four. Josiah Mittelstadt has played the most in the net and has 60 saves and one shutout.
