TUCSON, AZ – After a two-game sweep yesterday against the Nebraska Wesleyan University Prairie Wolves, the Vikings fell to the Buena Vista University Beavers today 8-4. The Vikings are now 2-5 on the season while the Beavers are 3-4.
 
Buena Vista got off to a quick start, scoring four runs in the top of the first inning. They stretched their lead to 5-0 in the fifth before the Vikings tacked on two runs of their own. Tim Pasiuk broke the scoreless drought with a two-run homer to right field. Pasiuk had a nice game, going 2-4 at the plate with 3 RBIs. In the sixth inning facing a 7-2 deficit, Ben Boran stole home and then Pasiuk drove Nick Caldeen to make the score 7-4. The Vikings were unable to get any closer as the Beavers hung on to win 8-4.
 
Adam Fjerstad pitched five innings, giving up nine hits and five runs with seven strikeouts. Anthony Radloff pitched the final four innings for the Vikings, giving up two hits and three runs with five strikeouts.
