The Vikings managed five hits total with freshman Brady Schuster leading the way with two. Grant Becher and Ross Beumer recorded the only extra-base hits with a double and a triple respectively. The Vikings left seven runners on base compared to four for Marian.
The Vikings trailed 3-1 in the third inning of game two, but three runs in the fourth and then eight runs in the fifth for Marian broke the game open.
