Box Score 2 TUCSON, AZ – The BLC Vikings finished their spring trip with two wins. They defeated Trinity University (TX) 3-2 in game one and came from behind in game two to beat Hamline 6-2.
The Vikings struck first in game one after a double from Courtney Williams brought Anna Hoffman safely home. Trinity tied the game in the top of the fifth, but the Vikings responded with two runs in the bottom half to retake the lead at 3-1. Trinity scored one more run in the seventh, but it wasn't enough as the Vikings won 3-2. The Vikings tallied six hits total, led by Williams who was 2-3. Shelby Bloemendaal also tallied a hit for the Vikings, but did the most damage in the pitching circle. Bloemendaal went 6.1 innings with six hits and two runs and three strikeouts to get the win. Bria Majeski finished the game for the save.
In game two, the Hamline Pipers took an early 2-0 lead in the second inning. The score remained 2-0 until the Vikings tied things up in the sixth inning. The Vikings carried that momentum into the final inning and scored four more runs to secure a 6-2 victory. Haylee Sobrero carried the Vikings with a 4-4 effort at the dish. Eden Ambrose finished 1-4 with two runs and Sarah Presler was 1-4 with one run.
It was a good trip overall for the Vikings who finished on a three-game winning streak to go 4-3 down in Arizona.

Up Next: The Vikings will play in the Cobber Round Robin beginning on Wednesday, March 20th with a game against Concordia at 10:00 AM followed by Bemidji State at 12:00 PM.
