WAVERLY, IA – The Bethany Lutheran Vikings didn't have anyone qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships, but they still competed well and turned in some pretty good results.
For the second meet in a row, Stefan Prince turned in an 800m time under two minutes. Prince was recently crowned the UMAC Indoor Champion in the event. This weekend, the senior runner finished in 11th place overall with a time of 1:59.35.
Freshman Keegan Rich competed in both the long jump and the triple jump. Rich turned in a mark of 6.15m in the long jump which put him in 11th place. Rich has continued to improve in the triple jump all season and earned the UMAC Indoor Championship in the event last weekend. Rich put forth his best effort of the season today with a school-record 13.17m mark.
Sarah Presler ran the 800m with a time of 2:24.19 which was a full five seconds faster than her time last weekend at the UMAC Indoor Championships. Presler's time today would have earned her All-Conference honors had she run it last weekend.
