FOREST CITY, Iowa—The Bethany Lutheran volleyball team (5-11 overall) fell 3-1 to Waldorf (9-6) Wednesday night. The Vikings won the first set 26-24, but the Warriors claimed the next three, 25-19, 25-18, and 27-25.
Senior Megan Rutt (Le Center, Minn.) had a team-high 11 kills. Junior Brittany Sanders (St. James, Minn.) had 30 assists and co-led the squad with four aces.
Senior Mindy Poehler (Nicollet, Minn.) was the other teammate with four aces. Classmate Veeva Lee (St. Paul) had 19 digs and was second with three aces.
BLC returns to the court Friday against Northwestern at 7 p.m. to open a three-game homestand.
