MANKATO, Minn.—The Bethany Lutheran women's soccer team (1-1 overall) fell 9-0 to nonconference opponent, Bethel University (3-0) Wednesday evening.

The Royals got on the scoreboard quickly, with their first goal under two minutes into the contest, and continued to add to the margin as they led 5-0 at halftime.

Bethel tallied four more scores in the second half.

Sophomore Zoe Kinakin (Victoria, British Columbia) recorded the lone shot on goal for the Vikings on the night.

Junior Leah Sonnenburg (Lakeville, Minn.) made a career-high 15 saves.
